I am constantly hearing from women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and beyond that they just don't feel like they can pull off bright colors. They mistakenly think that bright colors are for "young girls" and "teens." So, they settle for wearing the same shades of grey, black and white over and over again. So many of us settle for "ordinary" yoga clothing when what we really need are so bright, inspirational colors to give up the pep we need on the yoga mat! I am here to tell you that it's okay to embrace color. In fact, it's encouraged! Here are my three quick and easy tips for how to add a little more color into your yoga look in a way that will make you feel comfortable and stylish.
Choose Coordinated Sets. If you don't think you have an eye to try to piece together tops and bottoms that work together, skip the step altogether by simply choosing sets or mix-and-match collections that are already designed to look good together. I purposely created pieces of the Mermaid Collection to have the perfect balance of color when put together.
Focus on One Bold Piece. So maybe you're feeling a little intimidated by color. That's fine, you don't have to dive right in! Just focus on one price of clothing that is colorful, while keeping the rest of your outfit muted. Combine colorful yoga pants with a solid blank yoga tank and yoga bra or place a fun, spirited yoga top over basic black leggings.
Go for Patterns. Sometimes blocks of bright color can be hard to pull off if we're not used to wearing bright colors. A bright, energetic pattern is a great option to go with because it will actually break up the colors, as well as providing you with several colors to accent with other parts of your outfit.
